MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING

Although the Louise Herrington School of Nursing Graduate Studies Program is relatively new, it is ranked nationally by US News & World Report for its academic reputation. The Graduate Studies Program offers part or full-time study in one of three advanced practice majors: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Advanced Neonatal Nursing (NNP) and Nurse Midwifery (CNM). Students completing the Nurse Midwifery track are awarded a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.

Students enrolled in the graduate program may obtain a Nursing Education Post-Masters Certificate through a collaborative agreement with the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB). Master's prepared nurses from other institutions are also eligible for admission to the Nursing Education Post-Masters Certificate option.
