Gala Support Impact

The Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing’s Going for the Gold Gala is a spectacular event and, in the last five years, it has become a source of support for the most critical needs of the School and its students. We hope you will mark your calendars now for February 25, 2017, to join us at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas for the 6th Annual Gala.

This Gala will recognize and honor those who serve our communities – both the nurses who care for our sick and wounded and our selfless public servants in the police and firefighting communities. Providing a dynamic perspective will be our keynote speaker, Derek Haas. Along with being a Baylor graduate, Derek is also the creator and executive producer of NBC’s hit television series Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.

The LHSON relies on the support from sponsors and underwriters every year. Gala proceeds will allow LHSON to address the space needs of the future through the renovation of our new building. Dedicated to providing a competitively robust and revered Baylor education, LHSON is striving to transition from an overcrowded and outdated 38,000-square-foot facility into a contemporary 100,000-square-foot new building. We have a challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation that we will receive if we have raised the funds for this new building by July 12, 2017. We respectfully ask that you consider being a part of this memorable event as a Gala sponsor.

We will recognize sponsorship generosity on the Gala invitation and program. Kindly indicate your level of support from the sponsorship list opportunities. For additional information, please contact Janis Kovar, LHSON Director of Development, at 214-808-9802 or Janis_Kovar@baylor.edu.

We sincerely hope you will answer the call to support our dedicated Baylor nursing students who exemplify our school motto to Learn.Lead.Serve.™ Your sponsorship will make a difference in the lives of students for many years to come.
