What is Welcome Week?

Welcome Week is the official beginning of your experience as a Baylor student. The journey includes four days full of activities that introduce you to life at Baylor. Welcome Week is a rich tradition at Baylor and it is all about building relationships with your fellow classmates, connecting with faculty and staff who will journey with you during your time at Baylor, becoming more acclimated to campus life, celebrating the spirit of Baylor and having fun.

Throughout Welcome Week you will have the opportunity to participate in many wonderful activities designed to welcome you into the community at Baylor. New students are invited to experience what it means to be a thriving member of a community of faith and a community of learning, as they interact with fellow students, faculty and staff and begin their academic pursuits.

Welcome Week features the opportunity to be part of a small group. These small groups are led by upperclass student leaders, who will encourage you as you begin your Baylor journey. In your small groups, we hope that you will have the opportunity to build relationships other new students, learn more about campus life at Baylor, and feel better equipped to start your classes.

We invite parents and families to participate in the President's Picnic on Thursday, August 16 @ 6:00pm and the Parent Split Party. These events conclude the parent and family portion of the Welcome Week program.

We look forward to welcoming you home to Baylor!
