After visiting Baylor in the 8th grade when a friend of mine moved to Waco, I was set on being a bear! Every time I visited, I was overwhelmed with a sense of belonging. I visited my fair share of universities, but every time I came to Baylor, I could almost feel my body giving a sign of relief. I can honestly say I haven't looked back once since I got that well-known "I Know Where I'm Going" shirt in the mail.

A college education doesn't come cheap, and that's just as true at Baylor. Without scholarships like the one I was given, I wouldn't have had the chance to go somewhere where I feel I am am thriving in all aspects of my life, from my faith to relationships to education. They say money can't buy you happiness, but I think I have a pretty good argument against that. Scholarship support has allowed me to be at a place that makes me happy every single day, without fail. Of course, it isn't just about happiness and having fun--this is an investment in my future. I have had incredible professors and am taking classes that are preparing me for the real world.

The most appealing thing about Baylor is the sense of community. If I could pick one thing that Baylor excels at, it is that they make every single student feel a part of the Baylor Nation, whether that is through a school tour, line camp, running in the Baylor Line, being in an organization or sitting in class.

To my benefactors, I can't say "thank you" enough for investing your money and supporting me. I feel so blessed and am so thankful for your generosity. I hope someday I will be able to do the same for a potential Baylor student. Without people like you, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to start the most exciting chapter of my life thus far. Know that you are providing so much more than just an education. You are giving students the opportunity to grow into themselves and make a difference in the absolute best environment!
