Dear Baylor Friends,
Welcome to the Baylor University Women's Council of Dallas! We are an organization of Baylor friends and alumnae who enjoy getting together for fellowship while also providing scholarships for students in the Dallas area. For more than 20 years, we have been planning a myriad of events and experiences to foster the spirit of Baylor University in the metroplex.
In 2009-2010, our Women's Council calendar will feature such activities as the 
annual Fall Luncheon, where we honor a Baylor Woman of Distinction; several young graduate events such as "Cheer", a holiday tasting party; Dallas Diadeloso; the Barnabas Circle dinner; and a special Spring Event for the entire membership. Mama Bears has numerous opportunities for mothers of preschool and school-aged children, while empty-nesters may enjoy lending support and encouragement to students at Baylor's Louise Herrington School of Nursing, here in our own backyard. There is something for everyone!
Through our scholarship fund, The Anita and Dale Jones Endowed Scholarship Fund, we provide scholarships each year to deserving Dallas-area students who might not be able to attend Baylor otherwise. The BUWC has raised over a quarter million dollars since 1987 and awarded $32,000 in scholarships this past year. The Barnabas Circle is a special philanthropy group for our scholarship fund, and all Baylor patrons are invited to membership.
