Judy Maggard
Director of Parent Programs |
| Judy Maggard began her Baylor career in 1980 as assistant to the vice president for development, a position that she held for 17 years. In 1998, she was appointed director of the Baylor Parents League. The Parents League was established in 1968 to keep the lines of communication open between parents and the university. The main focus of parent programming is to provide opportunities for parents to learn about Baylor and to be involved in the life of the university in meaningful and constructive ways. Parents League keeps parents informed through periodic newsletters, a university calendar, the Parents Helpline and a web page. The heart of the organization is the network of Parents League chapters. Judy enjoys serving parents and meeting the challenges of connecting parents to Baylor and with other Baylor parents. She is a lifelong Wacoan and is married to her high school sweetheart, Ken. They have two sons and two daughters-in-law: Scott (BBA '91, MBA '99) and Lauren Thomas Maggard (BBA '00); Chris (BBA '97) and Keri Harshbarger Maggard (BA '95) and three grandchildren, Seth, Peyton and Aaron. She is proud to be a 2000 Alumni-by-Choice. |
