Director of the Baylor Women's Network

Carol KentHaving started her career by teaching speech at Baylor, Carol Kent (BA '75, MA '76) returned to Baylor in 2003 where she serves as director of the Baylor Women's Network.

The Baylor Women's Network nurtures and develops Baylor friendship among women in their home communities. Through Carol's work, Baylor-related women participate in local programs and build connections across the state and around the nation.

In 2008, Carol was elected to the Texas House of Representatives and serves House District 102 in North Dallas, Garland, and Richardson. Carol is a former member of the Richardson ISD Board of Trustees.

Carol and her husband David Kent (BA '75, JD '78) live in Dallas. David is an attorney with the law firm of Sedgwick, Detert, Moran, & Arnold, LLP. They have three Baylor Bears of their own: John (BA '03), Meredith (BA '07) and Robert (BA '09).
