Women’s Association of Houston
Dear Baylor Alumnae and Friends,
I am delighted and honored to serve as the 2009-2010 President of the Baylor University Women's Association of Houston (BUWAH). BUWAH is a dynamic organization that has been part of the Houston community for over 20 years. Every member of BUWAH-ranging from young grads, community leaders, business professionals, elected officials, mothers, and retirees-plays a pivotal role in our vibrant organization. We invite you to join us!
This year, we will gather together in new ways to help you stay connected with Baylor women across our city. Beginning with a fabulous Fall Luncheon & Cooking Class at Cafe` Annie in late September and continuing throughout the year with a exciting combination of both small group activities and larger events, we welcome you to join us.
In addition to our fun social activities, BUWAH is also committed to raising scholarship funds for deserving students. Each year, we continue to add significant contributions to our Endowed Scholarship Fund, and since 1989 we have awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to outstanding students. Additionally, BUWAH sponsors an Endowed Library Fund that provides much needed funding for Baylor's campus libraries.
BUWAH offers a wonderful opportunity to stay connected with Baylor, meet new friends, and reconnect with others. We hope you'll join us!
Kind Regards,
Jacquelyn
