BBN Fort Worth presents "A Conversation with Jimmy Walker"

Born January 16, 1979 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jimmy Walker has enjoyed success in professional golf. He learned the game of golf from his father, who was a scratch golfer. His love for the game grew exponentially from there. Upon finishing high school, he attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He turned professional in 2001.

Walker played full-time on the Nationwide Tour (now Web.com Tour) in 2003 and 2004. In 2004, he was named the Nationwide Tour money winner and player of the year. That acheivement earned him his PGA TOUR card. Injury sideliend his PGA TOUR season in 2005, and he only made six cuts. Recovering, he played in 21 PGA TOUR events in 2006. His best finish to date was 3rd at the Valero Texas Open. 2011 has been Jimmy Walker's best season on the PGA TOUR thus far. He finished 50th in the FedEx Cup standings and earned four top-ten finishes.

Jimmy cites that his biggest thrill in golf thus far has been playing in the 2001 US Open. Another thrilling golf-related moment occured at a Web.com Tour event in 2004 when he met his wife, Erin. She was a tournament volunteer, and the rest is history.
