DescriptionProf Mark Pike PhD (Head of the School of Education, at the University of Leeds, UK) is Director of the Narnian Virtues Character Education Research Project (funded by a £1.1M grant from the John Templeton Foundation) which helps 11-14 year olds (with their parents, teachers and school leaders) cultivate the Narnian virtues of love, wisdom, justice, integrity, self-control and fortitude in response to three of C.S. Lewis' Narnia novels. Mark will talk about the project, invite you to participate in the international trial (curriculum materials freely available) and about his recent book Mere Education "C S Lewis as Teacher for Our Time" (The Lutterworth Press, Cambridge, UK).
