About NDVFRI

The National Domestic Violence Fatality Review Initiative (NDVFRI) is an initiative funded through a grant awarded by the Office on Violence Against Women, US Department of Justice.

The NDVFRI is housed in Waco, Texas, at Baylor University.

The Initiative is the first of its kind, creating a clearinghouse and resource center dedicated to domestic violence fatality review.

Technical Assistance provided through the initiative includes:

  • customized information packets
  • a quarterly newsletter
  • conferences and teleconferences
  • onsite training
  • a database with information on exisiting fatality review teams
  • an emerging practices manual
  • website resources
We are also working closely with other leading domestic violence organizations to provide support and information for their initiatives related to fatality review.
