Monday evening in Denver, Baylor head women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey was named the WBCA National Coach of the Year.

Mulkey has coached the #1-ranked Lady Bears to a perfect 39-0 record. The Lady Bears will face Notre Dame in the National Championship game Tuesday night in Denver. If Baylor wins, it will mark the first time ever that a men's or women's NCAA basketball team has won 40 games, and will cap an undefeated season with the school's and Mulkey's second national championship.
