Kyle Collins, Lecturer in Harpsichord, is currently studying for his Graduate Artist Certificate in Harpsichord Performance at the University of North Texas with Brad Bennight. He has earned degrees at Louisiana Tech University (BA, Piano Performance) and the University of North Texas (MM, Harpsichord Performance). He has appeared as a soloist with the UNT Baroque Orchestra in a performance of J.S. Bach's Concerto for 3 Harpsichords in C Major, BWV 1064 and is the Jurow prizewinner in the 8th Mae and Irving Jurow International Harpsichord Competition. This past year, he co-founded Trio Amaranti, consisting of two traversos and harpsichord; they were runner-up in the EMA Battle of the Early Bands Competition in 2016. Kyle has performed with the Monroe Symphony Orchestra and Austin Baroque Orchestra in the past year. He has also performed with the American Bach Soloists as a part of their annual Academy and attended a set of master classes on 17th century Italian music at the Flint Collection with Arthur Haas. His teachers include Petra Somlai, Brad Bennight and Christoph Hammer. He has attended master classes taught by Corey Jamason, Bart van Oort, Lysiane Boulva and Barbara Willi.
