Campus Orchestra

Baylor Campus Orchestra

The Baylor Campus Orchestra rehearses on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:30-2:10. The orchestra is designed to provide an orchestral experience for those students whose schedules will not permit them to commit to the rigorous time or literature demands of the Baylor Symphony, or who lack the experience necessary to prepare music at the accelerated pace required by the Baylor Symphony. The Campus Orchestra presents two to four performances on campus and in the Waco community each semester. Concerts include performances in Jones Concert Hall at Baylor University, the Waco Cultural Arts Festival, Zoo Tunes at the Cameron Park Zoo, and side-by-side concerts with local school orchestra ensembles. The Campus Orchestra is under the direction of Dr. Michael Alexander, Associate Professor of String Education.
