Associate Professor of Instrumental Music Education

Michael Alexander is Associate Professor of String Music Education at Baylor. He joined the faculty in 2006 after 22 years of teaching orchestra at Stratford HS in Houston, Texas. He holds degrees from Southwestern University (BME), Sam Houston State University (MM), and the University of Houston (DMA). His duties at Baylor include supervising string student teachers, instruction in classroom string pedagogy, directing the Baylor String Project, and conducting the Baylor Campus Orchestra. Assistant Professor of Instrumental Music Education

Russell Gavin is Assistant Professor of Instrumental Music Education at Baylor University. Georgia Green is Professor of Music Education and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Music at Baylor. She holds a BM degree from Northwestern State University and MME and PhD degrees from Louisiana State University. Prior to Baylor she held the position of Music Supervisor at the LSU Laboratory School. As a children’s music specialist Green has conducted clinics and workshops in Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Florida, and Virginia. Associate Professor of Choral Music Education

Michele Henry is Associate Professor of Choral Music Education and Division Director for Music Education. A member of the Baylor faculty since 2001, she teaches a choral methods and music education courses and supervises student teachers. She advises the Baylor University Music Educators Association and coordinates the annual Baylor Women’s Choir Festival.
