Dick Veit serves the School of Music as its Concert and Promotion Manager, a position he has held since June of 1992. His duties include printed programs, press releases, newspaper and magazine advertising, fliers, posters, brochures, the telephone ConcertLine (254-710-4200), Music This Week, and the School of Music's online events calendar. He also produces and hosts the weekly NPR radio program "Music at Baylor," which is heard locally on KWBU-FM. Mr. Veit holds two degrees from Baylor University: a Bachelor of Arts in Radio-TV and a Master of Arts in History. He and his wife, Patti, were married in 1977, and the couple have one daughter (Amy) and one son (Cody). In addition to classical music, his main interests include writing fiction and non-fiction, enjoying the plays and films of Horton Foote, researching baseball history, watching reruns of "The Andy Griffith Show" on television and DVD, and listening to songs by the Swedish pop group ABBA and the Australian folk group The Seekers.
