This program provides students insight into the arts and humanities of medicine and provides them with an understanding of the human experience and the value of human life. Students also explore the crucial relationships between physicians and their patients, they rotate through various hospital internships, exposing them to the real world of medicine and decision making that often involves deep ethical and spiritual issues.
Graduates with a major in medical humanities are well prepared for the next step in their journey to becoming health professionals. Our students are going on to medical school, dental school, and to any of the disciplines in the allied health sciences.
