Baylor to Hold Student Rally Feb. 19

February 7, 1996

The Pensacola, Fla., and Mobile, Ala., chapters of the Baylor University Parents League will host a Baylor Rally at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, in the First Baptist Church Activities Center in Pensacola.
The rally will be hosted by Tim Dickerson, out-of-state admissions counselor for Baylor and Mary Lou Lurton, president of the Pensacola chapter. A panel discussion and a video presentation will also be included in the program.
All prospective students are invited to the meeting as well as Baylor parents and alumni. The program would be particularly beneficial for high school juniors and seniors, said Baylor Parents League Coordinator Rachelle Sheffield.
Baylor has been consistently ranked among the top universities in the country for efficiency and value in cost and the quality of education by U.S. News and World Report. Baylor is also consistently ranked in the top one percent of all colleges and universities in the United States in the number of National Merit Scholars enrolled.
High school seniors interested in Baylor have the opportunity to be in the inaugural class to enter Baylor as the school begins competition in the Big 12 Athletic Conference, which promises to be one of the premier sports conferences in America.
