Harlem Globetrotters to Perform at Ferrell Center Feb. 3

WACO, Texas - The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will make their only Waco appearance in 1996 on Saturday, Feb. 3, in the Ferrell Center as part of their "Bring You The World" 70th Anniversary Tour. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
The Harlem Globetrotters have entertained more than 100 million fans of all ages for seven decades in 113 countries, adding their own unique twist to the game of basketball. Recently they completed the "Ultimate Challenge Tour" in Europe against a team of legendary NBA all-stars, including Hall-of-Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
For the first time in 40 years, the Harlem Globetrotters will face new opponents: the International All-Stars. This team is comprised of players representing various countries around the globe such as Trinidad, Panama, Nigeria and the Bahamas.
An autograph signing ceremony is scheduled after the game. Tickets are priced from $9 to $20 and are available through Ticketmaster at Blockbuster Music in Waco, Foley's in Temple, or charge by phone at (817) 752-8822. A 50 percent discount is available for senior citizens, Baylor employees and students with proper ID, all military personnel (with military ID) and youth 12 and under.
