Baylor to Hold Thanksgiving Worship Service Nov. 16

Baylor University will hold its annual Thanksgiving Worship service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, in Miller Chapel in the Tidwell Bible Building.
The featured speaker will be Dr. Brian Harbour, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Richardson and a new member of the Baylor Board of Regents. Harbour received his bachelor's degree from Baylor in 1966 magna cum laude. While at Baylor, he was president of the freshman class, a member of Student Congress and the Baylor Chamber of Commerce and was a Yell Leader.
In 1973 he received his doctorate in religion from Baylor. In addition to pastoring more than 10 churches in Texas, Georgia, Mississippi and Arkansas, he has authored many books, chapters in books and articles on religion and Christian living. He and his wife, Janet, have four children, Jay, Collin, Cara and Jon, and make their home in Richardson.
Music will also be provided by a student brass quintet directed by Michael A. Fischer, lecturer in low brass, and the Baylor Women's Chorus, directed by Dr. Earlene Rentz, assistant professor of Music Education.
