Ferrell Center to Host Tapps Volleyball Tourney Nov. 10-11

Baylor University will host the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Volleyball Tournament at the Ferrell Center Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10-11.

Play will begin at 9 a.m. Friday with Hill Country and Terrell Christian in a Class A semifinal, followed by Castle Hills and Fort Worth Christian in a Class AAA semifinal. At 10:15 a.m., Westbury Christian and Lubbock Christian will clash in a Class AA semifinal at 11:30 a.m., Broadway and Pantego Christian will meet in a Class A semifinal at 1:30 p.m., St. Agnes and Nolan High will play in a Class AAA semifinal at 2 p.m. and Bay Area Christian and Lake Country are scheduled for a Class AA semifinal at 3:15 p.m.

Finals will be held Saturday starting at 1:30 p.m. with the Class A final, the Class AA final at 3 p.m. and the Class AAA final at 4:30 p.m.

"This is the first time we've ever hosted the (TAPPS) volleyball tournament; we've had its basketball tournament every year, but this will be the first of its volleyball semifinals and finals here at the Ferrell Center," said Rob Seitz, director of the Ferrell Center.
