Engineering and Computer Science Dean to Speak in Chapel-Forum

Dr. James D. Bargainer Jr., dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Science at Baylor University, will speak at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 6, at Chapel-Forum.
A member of the Baylor faculty for 16 years, Bargainer obtained his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Lamar University. He received his master's degree in electrical engineering from Northwestern University, and earned his doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin.
Bargainer has also served as a senior engineer at the Mobil Oil Field Research Laboratory. He taught at the University of Houston before coming to Baylor in 1979. He also does consulting work for various companies, including Harper and Row Publishers, American Science and Engineering and NASA.
He is also a member of several organizations, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering/Computer Society, the American Society of Engineering Education and Tau Beta Pi, National Honorary Electrical Engineering Society.
