This year, Baylor University students, faculty and staff will take a break from the spring semester to celebrate "DiaNOW: Noise of Waco," the 76th annual Diadeloso music festival, on Thursday, April 22, at Fountain Mall on the Baylor campus.
Diadeloso is one of Baylor's most beloved traditions that began in the spring of 1934, so students could have a break from classes and enjoy a "play day" with their classmates. The name of the event has changed through the years from "All University Day" to "Physical Fitness Day" to "May Day." In 1966, the student body voted to officially name the event "Diadeloso" or "The Day of the Bear."
Students may participate in a number of tournament games throughout the day, including tug of war, sand volleyball, co-ed Ultimate Frisbee, 3 v. 3 basketball, 5k Fun Run, Ping Pong, dodgeball, racquetball, tennis and the Diadeloso strongest man competition.
The Dia Dog Show will take place at 11:40 a.m., and will feature students and their canine friends competing for titles of Best Dressed, Best Trick and Peoples' Choice.
"Noise of Waco" will feature artists from the Uproar Records label, as well as national and regional acts. The schedule of events is as follows:

Card readers will be available for those students with meal plans or lunch may be purchased.
This year's Diadeloso apparel comes in v-necks as well as traditional t-shirts. The v-necks are $15 and the crew neck shirts are $10.
