Baylor University Issues Statement After Waco Police News Conference

Following a Waco Police Department news conference June 30, Baylor Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Scott Stricklin released the following statement, as the university continues to assist in the search for missing basketball player Patrick Dennehy.

WACO, Texas - Baylor Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Scott Stricklin released this statement to the media Monday afternoon:

"Baylor University continues to support the efforts of the Waco Police and other authorities working on Patrick Dennehy's disappearance.

"Their efforts in this matter have been greatly appreciated by all of those associated with the university and we continue to provide whatever assistance they require.

"The university would also like to encourage anyone with information regarding Patrick's whereabouts to contact the Waco PD at (254) 750-7500.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Patrick, his family, friends, teammates and coaches, and the entire Baylor family during this difficult and emotional time.

"We continue to be patient as we await further information from investigators.

"We won't be answering questions right now, but Baylor will have representatives at tomorrow morning's police briefing to take your questions at this time."
