Martin Museum of Art Features One of its Own in Artist Talk

Baylor University's Martin Museum of Art will feature one of its own in a gallery talk at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center, 60 Baylor Ave.

John D. McClanahan, professor and chair of the department of art, will discuss his pieces and present the exhibit, "McClanahan's McClanahans," that will be on display from Jan. 21 to Feb. 27.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will include a reception after McClanahan's Artist Talk. The museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays through Fridays noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays.

McClanahan serves as director of the Allbritton Art Institute, which is part Baylor's art department. McClanahan joined the Baylor department of art faculty in 1976. His work has been exhibited in more than 200 regional, national, international, invitational exhibitions, including 12 solo shows.
