Prayer Service for the People of Haiti to be Held Thursday at Truett Seminary

A service of prayer for the people of Haiti will be held at 5:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Jan. 14) in the Paul Powell Chapel at Truett Seminary. This will be a time for the Baylor and Waco communities to gather and pray for all those affected by the recent earthquake in Haiti.

The earthquake which struck southern Haiti Tuesday has caused unimaginable destruction and death. The Baylor community is encouraged to pray for the families of those who have lost their lives, as well as for the people who are suffering and awaiting relief and medical care.

Baylor students also are currently organizing a fundraising campaign to assist with Haitian relief, and ways to support the campaign will be presented at this service.
