The Baylor University School of Music will host the annual Chamber Singers Concert, part of "Christmas at Baylor," at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, and at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 and 8, in the McLean Foyer of Meditation in Armstrong Browning Library on the Baylor campus.
"Armstrong Browning Library is not only beautiful, but it is really spectacular for choral music and acoustics," said Alan Raines, director of choral activities and associate professor of ensembles.
The 18-voice Baylor Chamber Singers specialize in music from the Renaissance and Contemporary periods. They were featured in the 2003 PBS special, Christmas at Baylor, and recorded songs, including their most recent, Songs of Praise.
Combined Choirs will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, and Saturday, Dec. 5, in Jones Concert Hall in the Glennis McCrary Music Building on the Baylor campus.
"The concert is really in the form of a service with lessons and carols that tell the story of the birth of Christ," Raines said.
Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the box office in The McCrary Music Building.
