Baylor Gears Up For 94th Anniversary Homecoming

Baylor University will celebrate its 94th Anniversary Homecoming Nov. 5- 9 with an assortment of events and activities for Baylor family and friends.
Baylor will give the 2007 Class a chance to gather at the Freshman Mass Meeting at 10 p.m. Wednesday at Waco Hall. This event gives the freshman class a chance to learn inspirational stories that have grown into tradition at Baylor.
The annual Pigskin Revue will take center stage at 7 p.m. Thursday, 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday at Waco Hall. The top eight groups from All University Sing will have a chance to showcase their winning routines for the public. The Baylor Homecoming Queen will be announced during Thursday's performance, and he Baylor Alumni Association will honor five individuals as 2003 Outstanding Young Alumni. From 8-9 p.m. Friday, at the Hughes Dillard Alumni Center, Homecoming attendees will have a chance to pick up a campus map and get more information on the Homecoming schedule. The center will also be open on Saturday after the game, until 9.m.
The Alumni Association Annual Meeting will be held at 3 p.m. in Jones Theater of the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center. The Alumni Association will be awarding Glenn Hilburn, Dutch Schroeder, Tommy Turner, Joan Trew, and Ed Kinkeade with the W.R. White Awards. The 50th Anniversary Class Dinner for the Class of 1953 will be held at 5 p.m. Friday in the Barfield Room, at the Bill Daniel Student Center.
The Baylor Religious Hour (BRH) Choir will perform at Singpiration, at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Seventh and James Baptist Church. Everyone is welcomed to come and sing in praise and glory. For more information, e-mail Brent Edwards at Brent_Edwards@baylor.edu.
Baylor Yell Leaders and Songleaders will lead Baylor supporters in a pep rally and bonfire at 9:30 p.m. Friday at Fountain Mall. The Extravaganza, an on-campus dance, will follow the pep rally.
Baylor Chamber of Commerce will be performing "PitSkin," a comical parody of Pigskin, at 11:59 p.m. Friday on the east side of the Bill Daniel Student Center.
At 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, the Baylor Homecoming Parade, which is said to be one of the largest collegiate homecoming parades in the nation, will take off. The parade will arrive on campus at 9 a.m. The parade begins at 11th Street and Austin Avenue.
At 2 p.m. Saturday, Baylor will go head to head with the Texas Tech Red Raiders. For ticket information, contact the Athletic ticket office at 1-800-BAYLOR-U, ext. 7 or 710-1000.
The Class of 1978 will celebrate its 25th Anniversary Class Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Hankamer's Cashion Academic Center on the 5th floor.
Homecoming Worship Service will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Truett Seminary's Powell Chapel. Truett Dean Paul Powell will deliver the message.
