Due to the possibility of rain beginning late Thursday and continuing through Saturday, Baylor University has moved the April 18 "Rock the Mall" concert indoors to the Ferrell Center, 1900 S. University Parks Dr. on the Baylor campus.

"Rock the Mall" is FREE to all Baylor students, faculty and staff, as well as the surrounding Waco and Central Texas communities. Presented by Baylor's Division of Student Life, Department of Student Activities, Phi Kappa Chi and Pi Beta Phi, "Rock the Mall" is being held in conjunction with Baylor's celebration of 400 years of Baptist life.

The concert will feature national recording artists:

The Ferrell Center doors will open at 3 p.m., with pre-concert music beginning at 3:30 p.m. The Baylor Religious Hour Choir will perform at 4 p.m. The BRH Choir was established in 1948 to serve as a ministry to Baylor's campus and Texas churches, and today travels throughout the nation and the world for performances and missions.

Dove Award-winning Christian band By the Tree will take the stage at 4:30 p.m. Known for their pop/rock sound, the band's latest album, "World On Fire," was released in 2008. Their previous album, "Hold You High," featured the No.1 radio hit "Beautiful One."

Premier Christian vocal group Avalon will perform next at 6 p.m. Avalon has sold more than three million albums, charted 20 No. 1 singles and won an American Music Award and numerous Dove Awards, such as the 1999 Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year for "Testify to Love." With their ninth studio project "Another Time, Another Place: Timeless Christian Classics," Avalon has given new voice to various landmark faith-driven songs of the 1970s, 80s and 90s.

Robbie Seay Band will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. Fronted by Seay, a former Baylor student, the Houston-based Christian rock band leads worship at Ecclesia Church, where Seay's brother is pastor. After releasing several independent records, Robbie Seay Band was signed by Sparrow Records in 2005 and released their acclaimed album, "Better Days." Their latest release is "Give Yourself Away."

Baylor alumnus Erin McCarley will conclude the evening's concerts at 9 p.m. McCarley released her first album, "Love, Save the Empty," in January, and has performed on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Her music has since been featured on several TV shows, including "Kyle XY," "One Tree Hill" and "Grey's Anatomy," as well as the movie "He's Just Not That Into You." McCarley earned her BBA in management in 2001 from Baylor, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi.

"Rock the Mall" coincides with Spring Premiere, a time when prospective students and their parents to come to campus, meet with Baylor faculty, staff and students, and become familiar with life at Baylor.
