The Baylor University Student Foundation recently was selected as the 2008 Association of Student Advancement Programs' (ASAP) Outstanding Student Foundation. The announcement was made during the 2008 ASAP Network Convention in Salt Lake City.

The Baylor University Student Foundation is an organization that builds community-minded servant leaders by entrusting students with the responsibility of recruiting qualified students, raising scholarship funds and building goodwill among alumni and students.

During Student Foundation's nearly four decades on campus, the organization has awarded more than $4 million in scholarship money, helping more than 5,000 students. At their annual scholarship banquet in April 2008, the organization awarded $240,000 in scholarships to Baylor students.

ASAP, a program of The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), is an association of student organizations at more than 300 higher education institutions in North America, all with the common goal of enriching student advancement programming.

ASAP supports CASE member higher education institutions by fostering and enhancing student involvement in all areas of advancement. Additionally, CASE ASAP supports the advancement profession by making students and their advisers aware of advancement opportunities, resources and career paths.
