Jazz Ensemble To Present Final Concert April 24

The Baylor University Jazz Ensemble will present its final concert of the 2002-2003 school year at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the Jesse H. Jones Theater of the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center. The Jazz Ensemble performs under the direction of Alex Parker, lecturer in jazz studies.
The program will include performances of Fletcher Henderson's "Wrappin' It Up," Bill Holman's "Carl" and "Any Dude'll Do," Johnny Green's "Body and Soul" and "The Waltz You 'Swang' for Me" by Thad Jones.
The ensemble also will play "Yesterday's Tomorrows" by group member Peter Emerson. The program will conclude with the Bob Curnow arrangement of "Minuano (Six-Eight)" by Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays.
