The Baylor University President's Concert will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19 in Jones Concert Hall, located within the Glennis McCrary Music Building on Baylor's campus.

The President's Concert has been a Baylor tradition for nearly a quarter of a century. The evening is a highlight of the concert season and will include choral, instrumental and solo performances

Donald Bailey director of choral activities will lead the Baylor Symphony Orchestra and the Baylor University A Cappella Choir.

The Baylor University Concert Choir, directed by Jeffery Ames, will also perform, along with vocal soloists in the School of Music, including soprano Maria Sims, mezzo-soprano Mary Khuraibet, tenor Tyson Miller, and baritone Tony González.

The program will include Handel's "Dettingen Te Deum," Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms," and Vaughan Williams's "Fantasia on Psalm 104," featuring artist-in-residence Krassimira Jordan as the solo pianist.

"Each year, Baylor University's finest ensembles join forces to present one of the final major events of the academic year," said Dick Veit, concert and promotion manager for the School of Music. "In many respects, it is a culmination of the entire performance calendar, the School of Music's annual opportunity to share with the community its impressive riches of student artistry," he said.

General admission tickets for the concert are $5 and may be purchased online from the School of Music website at www.baylor.edu/music. Tickets are available in person by visiting the main lobby of the Glennis McCrary Music Building during regular business hours.
