Baylor to Hold Varied Operating Hours for Holidays

Baylor University offices and campus facilities will vary their regular operating hours during the Christmas and New Year's holidays. University administrative offices, with the exception of the development office and other essential services, will be closed for the Christmas break Dec. 22-Jan. 1.

The development office will be staffed Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 28, and on Monday, Dec. 31 for those who wish to make year-end contributions to the university. The office can be reached at (254) 710-2561. To make a year end gift, you may:

Moody Memorial Library and Jesse H. Jones Library began holiday hours on Dec. 12. The libraries will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec.17-21, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 26-28, and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Jan. 2-4. The libraries will be closed Dec. 22-25 for the Christmas holidays, Dec. 29-Jan. 1 for the New Year's holidays, and Jan. 5-6, before resuming normal operating hours on Monday, Jan. 14, the first day of spring classes.

Baylor's special collections libraries also will be closed for the holidays. Armstrong Browning Library will be closed from Dec. 22-Jan. 1, and the Baylor Collections of Political Materials in the Poage Legislative Library will be closed from Dec. 22-Jan. 1. The Texas Collection will be closed Dec. 22-Jan. 2. All special collections will resume normal operating hours on Jan. 3.

Baylor residence halls are closed and will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at noon for women participating in sorority recruitment. Residence halls will open for all residents at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10.

All floors in the Bill Daniel Student Center will be closed Dec. 22-Jan. 1. The mailroom on the first floor will be accessible from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 26-30. Normal operating hours will resume Jan. 2.

The Baylor Bookstore will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 26-28 and will resume normal operating hours Jan. 2.

The McLane Student Life Center (SLC) will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Dec. 20, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 21, and closed Dec. 22-Jan. 1. The SLC will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 2-4, closed Jan. 5-6, open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 7-11, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 12, and 1-8 p.m. Jan. 13 before resuming normal operating hours on Monday, Jan. 14.

The Mayborn Museum Complex will be open throughout the holidays, closed only on Dec. 24-25 and Jan. 1.

The Baylor Pharmacy will be closed from Dec. 14-Jan. 1, re-opening at 8 a.m. on Jan. 2.

The Wiethorn Visitor's Center will be closed from Dec. 22 through Jan. 1.
