Baylor Theatre To Stage Thriller

Baylor Theatre will present the Douglas Post thriller "Earth and Sky," beginning Thursday, April 3, in the Mabee Theater at the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Building on the Baylor University campus. Performances will run at 7:30 p.m. April 3-5 and April 8-12, with matinee performances scheduled for 2:30 p.m. April 6 and 13.
The play tells the story of naïve Sara McKeon and her personal investigation of the murder of her fiancé, which takes her to the urban Chicago underworld of drugs, kidnapping and murder. The Baylor production is directed by Steven Pounders, assistant professor of theater arts.
The cast includes Tara Hurley as Sara, Brandon Nagle as David Ames, Eric Archilla as Al Kersnowski, Toby Meuli as H.E. Weber and Katharine Everett as Joyce Lazlo.
Also in the cast are Judson Williams as Billy Hart, Robert Askins as Carl Eisenstadt, Wendy Bracken as Marie Defaria and Chris Rogers as Julius Gatz.
In conjunction with the production, Robert Darden, assistant professor of English, will discuss "Film Noir and Earth & Sky" at 3 p.m. Friday, March 28, in Mabee Theater. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Tickets for "Earth and Sky" are $10 and can be purchased at the Theatre Box Office. Baylor faculty, staff and students will receive a $2 discount with ID.
