President's Doctrinal Conference Scheduled For Feb. 11

February 4, 2003

Baylor University's ministry guidance program will host the President's Doctrinal Conference, an annual continuing education event for ministers, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, in the Kronzer Great Hall at the Hughes-Dillard Alumni Center. The focus of this year's conference will be "What Do We Believe About Baptism and the Lord's Supper?"
Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr., who also serves as professor of religion, professor of Christian scriptures and The George W. Truett Professor of Evangelism, will lead the conference. Sloan will focus on the meaning of baptism, what symbolism baptism represents, the meaning and symbolism of the Lord's supper and the important considerations in today's churches when leading and participating in baptism and communion.
The goal of the conference is to assist ministers as they teach and preach on baptism and the Lord's supper and as they lead their congregations in these two ordinances.
