Baylor Opera Theater Presents Donizetti Masterpiece

Baylor University Opera Theater will present four performances of Gaetano Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, Jan. 30 through Feb. 1, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, in the Jesse H. Jones Theater of the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center. The production is under the general supervision of Richard Aslanian, lecturer in music and director of opera. The Baylor Opera Orchestra is under the direction of J. Christopher Buddo, director of ensembles and associate professor of double bass and conducting.
The Baylor production, which places the action on a modern-day golf course, is fully staged and costumed and is directed by Conley D. Cook.
Tickets are priced at $10 for the public and $8 for faculty, staff and students, and may be purchased at the Theater Department box office. For more information, call 710-1865.
