MSW Practice Colloquium Set for May 3

Research and professional practice presentations on such topics as ethics, child welfare, mental health, evidence-based practice, sexual abuse and family counseling will be part of the first Master's of Social Work Practice Colloquium through Baylor University's School of Social Work.
The all-day event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, in the Baylor Sciences Building. Social workers may earn up to .6 continuing education units for attendance.
"We are pleased to be able to offer the expertise of our MSW advanced practice students to faculty, staff and students as well as community members and practicing social workers," said Dr. Dennis Myers, associate dean of graduate studies at the school.
