Preservation Exhibit To Run Through May 13

April 18, 2002

Baylor University's Moody Memorial Library will feature "How to Store Your Stuff," an exhibit that highlights methods of materials preservation, through May 13. The exhibit was designed by the preservation unit of the central libraries and is free and open to the public.
Included in the exhibit are five cases of materials that focus on preserving and protecting family treasures. In addition to materials from the library's scholar's collection room, several library staff members provided items from their personal collections for the exhibit. The display features information on how to store and preserve books, newspapers, photographs, post cards, comic books, textiles, sterling silver and art objects, among other items.
Information handouts with contact information for preservation organizations and archival preservation supply companies will be available in the library foyer.
The exhibit will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday.
