Fall FastTrac Grads To Be Recognized Dec. 3

The John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship at Baylor University will honor graduates of its fall 2001 FastTrac Program at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the fifth-floor Blume Seminar Room of the Cashion Academic Building at the Hankamer School of Business.
FastTrac Entrepreneurship NewVenture graduates are individuals who are planning to start new businesses or whose companies are in the start-up phase. Graduates of the FastTrac Entrepreneurship Planning program are existing entrepreneurs or those who have owned a business for more than two years. NewVenture is a nine-week course and FastTrac Planning is an 11-week course. Both courses are held on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and are designed to encourage and inspire participants to realize the potential of their entrepreneurial spirit.
A national program, FastTrac has been holding classes in Waco since 1996 and is co-sponsored by Baylor's Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship, the City of Waco and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with McLennan Community College, Small Business Development Center/Business Resource Center, Texas State Technical College, Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Heart of Texas Black Chamber of Commerce.
Keynote speaker during the program will be Jack Stewart, president of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce. Other speakers will include Mary Abrahams, FastTrac program coordinator, and J. David Allen, director of the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship.
FastTrac Entrepreneurship NewVenture graduates to be honored during the program will include: Theressa Brewer, Future Leaders Child Development Center; Betty Haferkamp, HAFERKAMP Legal Nurse Consulting; Ginger Kutcherousky and Linda Patzke, both of HEARTSAVERS; Clyde Cardwell, Fossil Hunters Clothing Company; Patrick Contreras, Creative Man Studio; and Susan Powell, Texas Star Antiques.
FastTrac Entrepreneurship Planning graduates will include: Sally Dickenson, Morrison's Gifts; Pat Baucom, Texus Medical Inc.; Jeanna Kish, Freddie's Auto Service; David Anderton, Mail & More Packaging Depot & Copy Center; Phil Roach, Brazos Printing; and Joshua Davis and Daniel Paris of JD's Art Cafe.
