Broadway Star to Give Concert Oct. 21

Celebrated musical theater star Marin Mazzie will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in the Jones Theater at the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Building on the Baylor University campus. Mazzie's performance is in conjunction with the Horton Foote American Playwrights Festival.
"I have seen Marin Mazzie on Broadway several times and I will say that she is amazing," said Dr. Stan Denman, chair of Baylor department of theater arts. "It will surely be an unforgettable evening."
Mazzie was last seen in the Broadway revival of "Man of La Mancha." She received Tony and Drama Desk nominations and an Outer Critics Circle Award for her performance in the revival of "Kiss Me Kate." Her other Broadway credits include "Into the Woods," "Ragtime," "Passion," "Big River" and "Out of This World."
