2000-01 Academic Calendar Includes New Holidays

The changes were discussed by the University's calendar committee in late September and were approved by Sloan this week.

For the Fall 2000 semester, Oct. 20-22 has been designated as a Fall Break, with no classes scheduled. Administrative offices at the University will be open on Friday, Oct. 20.

In the spring semester of 2001, Baylor will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15 in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The calendar committee is adjusting the academic schedule to maintain the same number of class days each semester as the current schedule. Details of the schedule revisions will be released here in the next few days.
