President Sloan's Statement
Baylor University President Robert B. Sloan Jr. released the following statement Oct. 10 concerning the deaths of the students:
"Even though Baylor is a campus of over 13,000 students, the entire University community grieves when we experience a loss of life. Each and every student is precious to us, and to lose four at one time is an unspeakable tragedy. Our hearts go out to the families and the friends of Emily, Tricia, Erika and Tripp, and I want to ask the Baylor student body, faculty, and staff to unite in prayer for those who have been touched by this terrible loss."
