by Nicole L. Anderson, Student Newswriter

A china painting class will be held on three Saturdays -- Sept. 15 and 22 and Oct. 6 -- from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village on the Baylor University campus.

Local porcelain artist Dianne Moore will teach the basic techniques of china painting as students paint a porcelain piece over the three-week class period. Paint supplies and porcelain are included in the $50 supply fee. A registration fee of $30 for the class also is required.

The registration deadline for the china painting class is Sept. 7. Future craft classes include basket weaving, felting, natural dyeing and woodcarving.

For more information or to register, call 710-1160. The Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village is located on University Parks Drive behind the Hughes-Dillard Alumni Center.
