Openings Remain For Barnyard Buddies Camp

June 13, 2001

The Barnyard Buddies camp at Baylor University's Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village still has a few openings remaining for children 2- to 3-years-old. The camp will run from 9 to 10 a.m. or from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. the weeks of June 18 and June 25. The cost is $40 per child.
Barnyard Buddies introduces young children to the wonders of animal life on a farm. Each day, participants will visit, feed and pet the sheep, goats and donkey housed at the village and will take part in activities such as games, crafts, music, story telling and plays. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
The Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village offers a range of summer camps for children ages 2 through 18. Other camps include Summer Days, which recreates what children would do during a typical Victorian summer; Huckleberry Summer, in which children can explore life along the river in a Texas rural farm community; and the Village Melodrama Camp, in which participants stage their own melodrama during a public performance.
The Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village is located on University Parks Drive behind the Baylor's Alumni Center. For more information or to register for a camp, call 710-1160.
