Children's Museum To Sponsor Bugs A Buzzin' March 24

March 20, 2001

Children can learn about the insect world during Bugs A Buzzin', a special event hosted by Baylor University's Ollie Mae Moen Discovery Center. The family fun day will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 24, and is free and open to the public.
Visitors will have the opportunity to see and handle several insects and other animals, including butterflies, spiders, millipedes and crustaceans. Special activities will be focused on these small animals. Children can learn about bees, beekeeping and honey from experts in the field or can handle seashells and discover the animals that live inside. The entire museum will be open for visitors to explore other areas in addition to the bugs.
The Discovery Center is located at 220 S. Fourth St. between Franklin Avenue and Mary Street. The entrance to the building and the parking lot are off Third Street.
