The Grant Teaff Athletic Complex

February 27, 1998

The Grant Teaff Athletic Complex encompasses Floyd Casey Stadium, the Carl and Thelma Casey Athletic Complex, the Hart-Patterson Track Complex and all the area surrounding these venues. Projects in the area around the football stadium include an endowment plaza, paved parking, landscaping and a new entrance off Clay Street.
The stadium's pressbox will be expanded to include 20'24 individual luxury suites. The suites, leased to individuals or corporations with revenue going directly toward student-athlete programs, will contain 12 to 20 seats and will have refrigerators, televisions and catered meals.
The pressbox will be cantilevered to the front and back and wings will be added to include more luxury suites. The pressbox will include an up-scale athletic media relations area, new home and visiting booths, new radio booths and a new consolidated game operations room.
The pressbox lobby area will be expanded to alleviate congestion around the elevators. The entire pressbox and suite area will create an entire new facade for the west side of the stadium.
By adding the wings, more stadium chairback seating will be added in the Bear Heights area for scholarship donors. Additional restroom facilities and food service areas will be added to service the pressbox, luxury suites and Bears heights seating area.
The stadium also will have a new state-of-the-art Sport Grass prescription natural grass surface for the 1998 season. A new artificial surface practice field is currently under construction with completion expected this spring.
The Hart-Patterson Track Complex will feature new locker-rooms for the men's and women's teams.
