Gatesville Resident Named Baylor Lariat Editor

Torie Johnson, a resident of Gatesville and junior at Baylor University, has been named editor-in-chief of The Baylor Lariat, the university's student newspaper, for the 2000-2001 academic year.
A journalism major, Johnson has interned with the Gannett newspaper Florida Today and will work as a copy editor at the Waco Tribune-Herald this summer. Additionally, she served as Lariat sports editor during the 1999-2000 academic year and as president of Baylor's chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.
