Baylor "Authors And Artists At Work" Exhibit To Open Oct. 9

October 9, 2000

The Baylor University Libraries will sponsor the fifth annual Baylor Authors and Artists at Work exhibit, which opens today in the foyer of Moody Memorial Library. The exhibit will run through Nov. 17.
"The Authors and Artists exhibit celebrates the research and scholarship that happens on campus," said Beth Tice, fine arts catalog librarian. "The Baylor library system sponsors the exhibit to emphasize that the library is the backbone of research and scholarship and how we work together with faculty and staff to promote this."
The exhibition features works by 53 faculty and staff who have written or edited books from October 1999 through September 2000 and fine arts faculty and staff who have exhibited in a juried show or who have commercially recorded works during the same time period.
The books, music and art works, along with photographs of the author or artist and some personal comments on the works, will be on display.
