Safely Anchored To Sing In Chapel Nov. 15

Nov. 13, 2000

The Southern gospel trio Safely Anchored will perform in Baylor University's Chapel at 10 and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, in Waco Hall on campus.

Safely Anchored is made up of Ray Mahaffey, his brother Cody Mahaffey, and Cody's wife, Vanessa. The group released its premiere CD project, "Father, Thank You," in March 1999. The title cut, "Father, Thank You," was written by Cody and Ray as a special tribute to their dad. In January 2000, the trio released its second CD project self-titled, "Safely Anchored." All 10 of the songs were written by the trio and incorporate a variety of musical styles.

For more information, contact Dr. Todd Lake, dean of chapel, at 710-3517, or visit the Safely Anchored web site at http://www.safelyanchored.com/.
