Baylor Hours Vary During Christmas Break
Baylor University facilities will operate under varying schedules during the Christmas holidays. All university offices and facilities will be closed Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 30-Jan. 1.
The Moody Memorial Library and the Jesse H. Jones Library will begin special hours starting Dec. 13. The libraries will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday but will be closed Dec. 16-17, Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 30-Jan. 1. The libraries will resume regular hours Jan. 8.
The Law Library will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 20-22 and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 26-29 and Jan. 2, closing for the holidays Dec. 23-25 and Dec. 30-Jan. 1. The law library will resume regular hours Jan. 3.
The Texas Collection will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 18-22 and will close for the holidays Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 30-Jan. 1. It will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 2-5 and resume regular hours Jan. 8.
Baylor residence halls will close at 6 p.m. Dec. 16 and will reopen Jan. 3, although women's residence halls will reopen at 3 p.m., Jan. 2, for students participating in sorority rush.
The McLane Student Life Center will observe special family hours beginning Dec. 14, with pool, climbing rock and court hours varying during the holidays because of maintenance. The SLC will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 14-15; 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 16; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 18-22; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 27-29; 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 2-5; and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 6-7. The center will be closed Dec. 17, Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 30-Jan. 1.
The pool will be open Dec. 14, before closing through Dec. 19 for maintenance. It will reopen for the remainder of the holiday schedule Dec. 20. All basketball and racquetball courts will be closed Dec. 27-29 for refurbishing, reopening Jan. 2. The climbing rock will be closed for maintenance Jan. 2-7, reopening Monday, Jan. 8, when the SLC resumes regular hours.
The Baylor Bookstore will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 18-22 and Dec. 27-28, closing for the holidays Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 29-Jan. 1. The bookstore will reopen Jan. 2-5 from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. before beginning extended back-to-school hours Jan. 6.
Wiethorn Visitors Center will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, closing for the holidays Dec. 17, Dec. 23-27 and Dec. 30-Jan. 2. The center resumes regular hours Jan. 3.
New student orientation and registration begins Jan. 4, with Welcome Weekend set for Jan. 5-6. Spring semester classes begin Monday, Jan. 8.
